Pool Table Removal
in Itasca
The slate bed is the whole weight, and carrying it out is what we do. Serving Itasca from our shop in Plainfield.
We take the slate off your hands
The weight in a pool table is the slate, usually three slabs of 150 to 250 pounds apiece, sitting beneath the felt, rails, and frame where you cannot see it. The table has to be dismantled in sequence, because moving it whole is what snaps the slate and warps the frame. With the table nearly always built in a basement, each heavy slab has to be carried up a flight. Our crew does the full breakdown and brings the slate up slab by slab so you never touch it.
Itasca sits near the Route 390 corridor and I-290 along Salt Creek, and we reach it via taking I-355 up to I-290, so same-day often works when the schedule allows. The village route wants bulk items small enough for one worker and caps carpet rolls at 60 pounds, so a bed of slate is far outside what the curb will take. Text a photo of the table and the stairs and we will quote the full job before we load up.
Pool tables we clear in Itasca
Three-piece slate tables
The three slabs come out one at a time, so no one is carrying more slate than they should on the stairs.
One-piece slate tables
A single slate bed passes 400 pounds easily, so we add hands and set the path before we lift it.
Bar and 7-foot tables
The smaller tables still carry slate, and we take them apart in the same careful order as a regulation table.
Regulation 8 and 9 foot tables
Big frames and long slate make a basement turn tight, so the table comes fully apart in the room first.
Non-slate tables
Slatron and MDF-bed tables are lighter but oversized, and we haul them out in one trip.
Combo tables and accessories
Air-hockey and combo tops, cue racks, ball returns, and overhead lights all go out with the table.
How the removal goes
Send a photo of the table and the way it has to come out, and we price the entire job flat before we begin. On the day we strip the felt and rails, lift the slate off in slabs, and break the frame and legs down, so each piece moves at a controlled weight. The slate rides up the stairs with enough hands on every slab, and the frame loads in the same trip. The quoted price is what you pay, by the load, with nothing added at the end.
- Priced by the load, quoted first
- Table apart in order, felt to frame
- Slate carried out in separate slabs
- Floors, walls, and stair edges padded
- We carry it all from the basement up
- Usable tables donated, the rest recycled
