Mattress Removal
in Oakbrook Terrace
New bed arriving? Onit hauls away the old mattress and box spring from anywhere in Oakbrook Terrace, wrapped for the trip out and recycled where we can.
Old Mattresses Gone the Same Day
Mattresses are the item people most often get stuck with. The delivery crew that brought the new bed frequently will not take the old one, the village trash pickup will not either, and a queen box spring is genuinely difficult to walk down a condo stairwell by yourself. So it ends up leaning against a wall in the garage or the spare room for months.
Onit takes it today. We pick up mattresses and box springs anywhere in Oakbrook Terrace, from the condo buildings off Butterfield Road to the townhomes and single-family streets near Terrace View Park. One mattress or a dozen out of a rental turnover, the process is the same.
Oakbrook Terrace collects bulk at no charge, but only when it is scheduled ahead, and a mattress may take two workers to move, so it is not a drag-it-out-tonight job. The old set waits on the appointment and on help you may not have. We cover Oakbrook Terrace near Butterfield Road and Route 83, bring the crew, carry the mattress and box spring out, and recycle what we can.
What We Take
Any Size Mattress
Twin, full, queen, king, and California king.
Box Springs & Foundations
Including split foundations from tight stairwells.
Bed Frames
Metal frames, wood platforms, and headboards.
Futons & Sofa Beds
Heavy fold-out units broken down if needed.
Crib & Toddler Mattresses
Small units taken along with the rest, no separate trip.
Multiple Units
Rental and building turnovers with several beds at once.
Wrapped, Carried, Recycled
Mattresses get wrapped in plastic before they leave the bedroom. That keeps dust, allergens, and anything else from riding through your hallway or the building elevator, which matters a great deal in shared condo entries. From there they go to a mattress recycler where one is available, since the steel springs, foam, and fabric can all be separated and reused rather than buried whole.

Questions
Single mattress pickups are priced at a small price set before we start that covers the crew and the trip. You will know the number before we come out. Call or text (815) 240-0735 and we will quote it in a minute.
Yes. Mattress, box spring, foundation, and frame can all go in the same pickup, and taking the set together is cheaper than booking two separate trips.
That is a normal day for us. A king or a split foundation that will not make the landing gets handled the way it needs to be handled, and we protect the walls and rails on the way out.
We do. Mattresses are wrapped in plastic in the room before they move, so nothing sheds into a shared hallway, elevator, or lobby on the way to the truck.
Wherever a recycler will accept it, the mattress is broken down so the steel springs, foam, and fabric can be reused. Whole-mattress landfilling is our last resort, not our default.
