Hoarding Cleanouts
in Oakbrook Terrace
No judgment, no rushing, no lectures. Onit clears Oakbrook Terrace homes and condos at the pace the person living there can handle, and keeps it private.
A Hoarding Cleanout Done With Respect
If you are reading this for a parent, a sibling, or yourself, the hardest part is already behind you. Making the call is what most people never manage. What happens next should not make it worse, and too many companies treat these jobs like a demolition with an audience.
We do not work that way. Onit goes at the pace the person living in the home can actually handle. We ask before things leave. We sort rather than shovel. And in a city as small as Oakbrook Terrace, where a condo building holds a few dozen households and everyone recognizes everyone in the lobby, we take the privacy piece seriously: tight staging, covered loads, no spectacle in the parking lot.
Years of belongings do not clear through a scheduled curbside pickup. The village takes bulk at no charge but asks you to set it up ahead, sometimes needing two workers, which never matches a houseful of mixed things. We handle the whole cleanout in one organized effort, discreetly and with no judgment. Our crew sorts the things you keep and the goods worth donating from the trash, then loads as many trucks as it takes, based in Plainfield.
How We Work Through a Home
Free, Private Consultation
A quiet walkthrough and an honest plan, with no obligation.
Room-by-Room Sorting
One area at a time so nothing feels like it is happening all at once.
Keepsakes Set Aside
Photos, documents, jewelry, and mail flagged for review, never tossed blind.
Donation Routing
Usable clothing, housewares, and furniture directed to charity.
Biohazard Awareness
If conditions call for specialized remediation, we say so honestly.
Broom-Clean Finish
The home left clear and ready for cleaning or repairs.
Nothing Leaves Without a Yes
The fastest way to lose someone's trust is to throw away something that mattered. We open boxes rather than assume, and anything that looks like a document, a photograph, currency, or a piece of jewelry gets set aside for review. If you are the family member coordinating and the resident is present, they stay in control of those decisions. That is not a courtesy, it is what makes the job finish.
For Family, Social Workers, and Case Managers
Some of these calls come from a daughter three states away, some from a case manager, some from a property manager facing a lease violation with a real deadline. We can work with any of them, provide a certificate of insurance for a condo association, phase the work across multiple visits, and give a quote so nobody is signing up for an open-ended bill.
- Judgment-free crew, no lectures and no photographs shared
- Work paced to the person, not to our schedule
- Keepsakes, documents, and valuables always set aside
- Discreet staging, covered loads, minimal curbside presence
- Quote after a free consultation
- Multiple visits available when one day is too much

Questions
No. Our crews are briefed to work quietly and respectfully, and we do not discuss or photograph a client's home for anything other than the job itself. Privacy is part of what you are hiring.
Absolutely, and for many people that works far better. We can clear one room or one zone at a time across multiple visits so the process stays manageable rather than overwhelming.
We sort rather than shovel. Anything that looks like documents, photographs, mail, currency, or jewelry gets set aside for review, and we ask before anything uncertain leaves the property.
It usually means more coordination. Elevator use, loading areas, and association rules all come into play in Oakbrook Terrace buildings, and we handle that scheduling and provide a certificate of insurance so the association is satisfied.
We do a free, private consultation first, because volume and conditions vary enormously. After that you get one quote covering the labor, hauling, and disposal. Call (815) 240-0735 and we can talk before anyone commits to anything.
