Furniture Removal
in Oakbrook Terrace
That sectional is not going down the stairwell on its own. Onit carries out and hauls away furniture from Oakbrook Terrace condos, townhomes, and offices.
Old Furniture Carried Out and Hauled Off
Furniture is the single most common call we get in Oakbrook Terrace, and the reason is geography. A lot of the housing here is attached or stacked: condo units up a flight or two, townhomes with a turn at the landing, apartments with a single elevator shared by the whole building. A sectional that came in through a patio door years ago is a genuine problem when it needs to come back out.
That is our job. Onit Junk Removal shows up with the crew and the tools to get bulky pieces out without gouging a wall or scarring a stair rail. If a piece will not fit, we break it down in place and carry it out in sections. You do not lift anything and you do not clean up after us.
Oakbrook Terrace collects bulk at no charge, but you have to schedule it ahead and the heavier pieces may need two workers before the route will touch them. That still leaves the furniture sitting until the booking comes around. We cover Oakbrook Terrace near I-88 and Route 83 from Plainfield, carry each piece out from any floor the day we come, and load the trailer. Usable furniture is donated, and you get the price before we lift.
Furniture We Remove
Couches & Sectionals
Including oversized pieces that have to be broken down to fit.
Mattresses & Box Springs
Any size, wrapped and routed to a recycler where possible.
Dressers & Armoires
Heavy solid-wood pieces walked down stairwells safely.
Dining Sets

Office Furniture
Desks, credenzas, file cabinets, and task chairs from local suites.
Patio & Outdoor
Deck sets, grills, and worn-out balcony furniture.
Stairwells, Elevators, and Tight Turns
We treat the path out as part of the job. Doorways and corners get protected, runners go down when the weather is bad, and the elevator does not get tied up longer than it has to be. In buildings that require it, we schedule around designated move hours and provide a certificate of insurance ahead of time. For townhome rows in Berkshire and similar developments, we plan the truck placement so a neighbor is not blocked in while we work.
Donated Before Discarded
Plenty of the furniture we pick up is not junk, it is just no longer wanted. Pieces in good condition are directed to donation and reuse so someone else gets years out of them. What is genuinely worn out gets broken down, with metal frames and springs recycled rather than buried.

Questions
Yes. If it will not make the turn, we break it down in place and carry it out in pieces. That is routine work for us in Oakbrook Terrace condo buildings and townhomes, and we protect the walls and rails on the way out.
It depends on how much space the pieces take up in the trailer, not what they weigh. You get one number before we start. Call or text (815) 240-0735 with a photo and we will quote it fast.
No. Leave it where it sits. Our crew does the carrying, the stairs, and the loading, whether the piece is in a third-floor unit or a basement rec room.
We do that regularly along Butterfield Road and Route 83. Desks, cubicle panels, conference tables, and task chairs are all fair game, and we can schedule after hours so the working floor is not disrupted.
It goes to donation and reuse rather than the landfill. Only pieces that are broken or badly worn get disposed of, and even then the metal frames and mattress springs are recycled.
