Basement Cleanouts
in Oakbrook Terrace
Everything that went down there years ago has to come back up. Onit does the stairs for you and clears Oakbrook Terrace basements in a single visit.
Basement Cleanouts Without the Stairs
The basement is where things go to be forgotten. In Oakbrook Terrace that often means an older single-family home where thirty or forty years of storage has stacked up under the house, or a lower-level utility and storage area in a townhome that started as useful shelving and turned into a wall of boxes.
The work is the stairs. Every couch, every filing box, every treadmill that seemed like a good idea has to come back up one narrow flight, usually with a turn at the top. That is precisely the part Onit handles. Our crew makes every trip so you do not have to make any, and the whole basement is usually cleared in one visit.
A basement in Oakbrook Terrace fills the same slow way, with old furniture, storage totes, exercise gear, paint cans, and boxes from moves back. Even the no-charge curbside bulk here has to be scheduled ahead, often with two people to move it, which does not match a full basement. Our crew comes from Plainfield, lifts every piece up the stairs, and sorts the donatable and recyclable from the haul.
What We Clear Out
Old Furniture
Couches, recliners, and bed frames that went down years ago.
Storage Boxes & Totes
Decades of paperwork, holiday decor, and packed-away junk.
Exercise Equipment
Treadmills, weight benches, and ellipticals broken down as needed.
Water-Damaged Items
Soaked carpet, padding, and furniture after a leak or a backup.
Appliances & Utility Junk
Old water heaters, dehumidifiers, and spare fridges.
Shelving & Workbenches
Built-in storage and workshop leftovers dismantled and hauled.
After Water Gets In
Heavy rain, a failed sump pump, or a burst supply line leaves a basement full of things that need to leave quickly. Wet carpet and padding get heavy and start to smell within a day or two, and soaked drywall and upholstery do not recover. We clear the wet material out fast so the space can dry and any repair work can start. If that is your situation, our water damage cleanup page covers how we handle it.

Questions
Not a single item. Our crew makes every trip up the stairs. You point out what stays and stay well out of the way while we work.
Yes. Exercise equipment usually has to come apart to make the turn, and we bring the tools to break it down in place and carry it up in pieces.
It is based on how much space the load takes up in the trailer, quoted before we start. Call (815) 240-0735 and describe the basement, or send a photo and we will give you a number.
We do that often. Wet carpet, padding, drywall, and upholstery get heavy and start to smell quickly, so we prioritize those calls and get the material out so the space can dry.
Most Oakbrook Terrace basements are done in a single visit of a few hours. A fully packed basement in an older home can take longer, and we will tell you honestly at the walkthrough rather than discovering it halfway through.
