Pool Table Removal
in Rosemont
We take on the slate, the stairs, and the hauling so the table is simply gone. Serving Rosemont from our shop in Plainfield.
A slate table the right way out
A pool table weighs what it weighs because of the slate bed, usually three slabs of 150 to 250 pounds each, set under the felt, the rails, and the frame. It has to be taken apart in order, since moving the table in one piece is what cracks the slate and bends the frame out of true. These tables are almost always downstairs, so every heavy slab has to be carried back up a flight. Our crew does the full disassembly and brings the slate out slab by slab, all the lifting included.
Rosemont sits right at the edge of O'Hare where I-90 and I-294 meet, a small residential pocket among the hotels, and we reach it via I-355 to I-290 and I-90, so same-day often works when the schedule allows. The village runs bulk pickup only twice a year, the first Wednesday of April and October, so between those dates a slate table has no curbside option at all. Send a photo of the table and the stairs and we will price the whole removal up front.
Pool tables we remove in Rosemont
Three-piece slate tables
We take the three slabs out one at a time, so each lift up the stairs stays controlled.
One-piece slate tables
A solid slate bed passes 400 pounds, so we bring extra hands and plan the turn before it moves.
Bar and 7-foot tables
The smaller tables still carry slate, and we break them down in the same order as a regulation one.
Regulation 8 and 9 foot tables
Long slate and a big frame make basement turns tight, so the table is fully apart before it goes up.
Non-slate tables
Slatron and MDF tables are lighter but oversized, and we carry them out in one trip.
Combo tables and accessories
Combo and air-hockey tops, cue racks, ball returns, and the hanging light leave with the table.
What to expect
Text us a photo of the table and the way it comes out, and we return a price for the whole job. On the day we remove the felt and rails, lift the slate off in slabs, and break down the frame and legs, so each piece moves at a controlled weight. The slate rides up the stairs with enough hands on every slab, and the frame loads in the same trip. You pay only the quoted price, by the load, and nothing is added after.
- Priced by the load, up front
- Felt, rails, slate, frame, in order
- Slate carried out slab by slab
- Floors, corners, and stairs covered
- All the lifting is on our crew
- Usable tables rehomed, slate and metal recycled

Questions
We set a price by the load after seeing the table, the slate, and the stairs, and you hear it before we lift. Text a photo to (815) 240-0735.
Yes. We schedule around your day, not the twice-yearly village pickup, and same-day is often open. Call (815) 240-0735 to check.
Yes. We carry the slate out in separate slabs with enough hands on each, which is how it comes out intact.
Around O'Hare we also cover Wood Dale, Itasca, Elmhurst, and Schaumburg.
When one still plays we try to pass it on, and anything beyond use is broken down so the slate, wood, and metal are recycled.
