Pool Table Removal
in Rolling Meadows
We bring the hands to carry the slate out in one piece each. Serving Rolling Meadows from our shop in Plainfield.
A slate table is a job for the right crew
A pool table carries its weight in the slate bed, usually three slabs of 150 to 250 pounds apiece, under the felt, rails, and frame. The table has to come apart in a set order, because dragging or tipping it whole is what cracks the slate and bends the frame. Because the table nearly always lives in a basement, each slab has to be carried back up a flight. Our crew takes it down properly and brings the slate out slab by slab, doing all of the heavy lifting.
Rolling Meadows runs along Route 53 and Golf Road near Kirchoff Road and Salt Creek, and we come straight up I-355 to Route 53, so same-day often works when the schedule allows. Here a heavy, full-section item is a special pickup with a minimum charge arranged through public works, so a slate table is never a simple set-it-at-the-curb job. Text us a photo of the table and the stairs and we will price the whole removal before we pull up.
Pool tables we clear in Rolling Meadows
Three-piece slate tables
We bring the three slabs up separately, so each lift stays at a weight the crew can handle.
One-piece slate tables
A solid slate bed tops 400 pounds, so we set the route and add hands before it moves.
Bar and 7-foot tables
The compact tables still hide slate, and we break them down the same way as a regulation one.
Regulation 8 and 9 foot tables
Long slate and a wide frame make the turns tight, so the table comes apart in the room first.
Non-slate tables
Slatron-bed tables are lighter but oversized and often loose, and we carry them out whole.
Combo tables and accessories
Combo and air-hockey tops, cue racks, ball returns, and the hanging light leave with the table.
Our process
Text a photo of the table and the way it has to come out, and we send back a price for the full job. On site we strip the felt and rails, lift the slate off in slabs, and break the frame and legs down, so each piece moves at a controlled weight. The slate goes up the stairs with enough hands on every slab, and the frame loads in the same run. You pay the exact price we quoted, by the load, and nothing is added later.
