What makes a pool table hard to remove is hidden right under the playing surface. The felt covers three slabs of slate, each one 150 to 250 pounds, bolted to a frame that is bolted to the legs. We take the table down the way it was built, in reverse, carrying each slate slab out on its own and breaking the woodwork into pieces that will actually come up the stairs and out the door.
