Pool Table Removal
in Arlington Heights
The slate is the whole weight, and carrying it out is the part we take on. Serving Arlington Heights.
We move the slate, you keep your back
The weight in a pool table is the slate bed, generally three slabs of 150 to 250 pounds each, set under the felt, the rails, and the wood frame. The table has to be dismantled in order, because moving it in one piece is what cracks the slate and twists the frame. With the table almost always in a basement, every slab has to be carried back up a staircase. Our crew does the full breakdown and brings the slate out slab by slab, top to bottom.
Arlington Heights runs along Route 53 and Northwest Highway with the Metra line through its downtown, and we head straight up I-355 to Route 53, so same-day often works when the schedule allows. Curbside here will schedule white goods, but a bed of slate is not on any curbside list, so the route is no help with a whole table. Text a photo of the table and the stairs and we will price the full removal before we arrive.
Pool tables we remove in Arlington Heights
Three-piece slate tables
We lift the three slabs out one at a time, so each trip up the stairs stays controlled.
One-piece slate tables
A single-slab bed runs past 400 pounds, so we add hands and clear the route before moving it.
Bar and 7-foot tables
The smaller tables still carry slate, and we break them down in the same order as a regulation one.
Regulation 8 and 9 foot tables
Wide frames and long slate make the stairwell tight, so the table is apart before it leaves the room.
Non-slate tables
Slatron and MDF tables weigh less but are bulky and often loose, and we haul them out in one trip.
Combo tables and accessories
Combo tops, bumper-pool tables, cue racks, and overhead lights go out with the table.
How we do it
Send a photo of the table and the way out, and we quote the whole job flat before we start. At the house we remove the felt and rails, take the slate off in slabs, and break the frame and legs apart, so every piece moves at a weight we can control. The slate goes up the stairs with enough hands on each slab, and the frame loads in the same run. The price we quote is the price you pay, by the load, with nothing added at the end.
- Price by the load set before we begin
- Felt, rails, slate, then frame, in order
- Slate carried out in separate slabs
- Floors, trim, and stairs protected
- All the lifting is our crew's
- Playable tables donated, rest recycled
