Pool Table Removal
in Addison
We take the table apart, carry the slate up, and leave the room clear. Serving Addison.
The table is ours to break down and carry
A pool table is built around a slate bed, generally three slabs at 150 to 250 pounds each, hidden under the felt, rails, and wood frame. You cannot move it as one piece, because dragging or tipping a slate table cracks the slate and racks the frame, so it has to be taken apart in order. With the table almost always set up in a basement, all of that weight has to go back up a staircase. Our crew dismantles the table properly and carries the slate out slab by slab.
Addison sits in DuPage along Lake Street and Army Trail Road near Salt Creek, with I-355 and I-290 close by, and we come up via I-355, so same-day is often open when the schedule allows. Curbside service here is set up for household carts and bags, so a bed of slate is nowhere near what the regular route will take. Rather than guess, text us a photo of the table and the stairs and we price the whole removal before we arrive.
Pool tables we remove in Addison
Three-piece slate tables
We separate the three slabs and bring them up individually, so each lift stays at a controlled weight.
One-piece slate tables
A single-slab bed runs past 400 pounds, so we add hands and clear the route before moving it.
Bar and 7-foot tables
The smaller tables still hide slate, and we disassemble them in the same order as a full-size one.
Regulation 8 and 9 foot tables
Wide frames and long slate make the stairs tight, so the table is fully apart before it leaves the room.
Non-slate tables
Slatron and MDF-bed tables weigh less but are bulky and often loose, and we haul them out in one trip.
Combo tables and accessories
Combo tops, bumper-pool tables, cue racks, and overhead lights go out with the table.
How we get it done
Send over a photo of the table and the way out, and we quote the whole job flat before we begin. At the house we remove the felt and rails, take the slate off in slabs, and break the frame and legs apart, so every piece moves at a weight we can control. The slate goes up the stairs with enough hands on each slab, and the frame loads in the same run. The price we quote is the price you pay, by the load, with nothing added at the end.
- Price by the load set before we start
- Felt, rails, slate, then frame, in order
- Slate carried out in separate slabs
- Floors, trim, and stairs protected
- Our crew carries it from the basement up
- Playable tables passed on, rest recycled
