Mattress Removal
in Oak Brook
New bed arriving and the old one has nowhere to go? Onit carries mattresses and box springs of any size out of Oak Brook homes, down from upper floors, and recycles them wherever we can.
Mattress & Box Spring Removal in Oak Brook, IL
A mattress is one of those things nobody has a plan for. It will not fit in a car, curbside pickup is not set up to take one, and getting a king down a curved staircase alone is how people injure themselves. The delivery crew bringing the new bed will sometimes take the old one and often will not, particularly when there are guest rooms involved and several are being replaced at once.
Onit Junk Removal takes care of it. We pick up mattresses across Oak Brook, from the estate homes off York Road and Roosevelt Road to the townhomes and condominiums near Oakbrook Center, usually the same day or the next. Leave it where it is and we do the rest.
Oak Brook folds bulk furniture into the Monday route, but a mattress over 50 pounds, which an older one usually is, has to be scheduled ahead, and it still has to be at the curb by morning. A box spring adds to the pile. We cover Oak Brook near Route 83 and the shopping district, do the carry-out, take the whole set, and recycle what we can.
What We Take
Every Size
Twin, full, queen, king, and California king, plus crib and toddler mattresses.
Box Springs & Foundations
Traditional box springs, split foundations, and low-profile bases.
Memory Foam & Hybrids
Foam, latex, hybrid, and pillow-top mattresses of any thickness.
Adjustable Bases
Powered adjustable frames disconnected and carried out with the mattress.
Bed Frames & Headboards
Metal and wood frames, upholstered headboards, and footboards.
Multiple Sets at Once
Whole-house replacements and guest room refreshes handled in one visit.
Recycled, Not Just Dumped
A mattress is among the worst things to landfill. It is bulky, it does not compress, and nearly all of it is recyclable: the steel springs, the foam, the wood frame, and the fabric can each be separated and reused. We route mattresses to recycling wherever facilities will take them and send along only what genuinely cannot be processed. That is the standard on every Oak Brook pickup, at no additional cost.
Refreshing a whole bedroom? We can take the frame, the dressers, and the nightstands in the same trip as furniture removal, so it is one visit rather than three.

A single mattress is one of our most affordable pickups, and the price per piece drops when you have a set or several. You get a quote before we come out. Call or text (815) 240-0735 for a fast number.
Yes, and it is common here when guest rooms are being refreshed or a whole house is being replaced at the same time. Multiple sets in one visit brings the per-piece price down, so give us a count when you call.
All of it, and it is usually cheaper to do it in one trip. Mattress, box spring, foundation, metal or wood frame, upholstered headboard, and powered adjustable base can all go together.
No. Leave it on the bed. Our crew carries it down and out, with the stair treads, railings, and door casings protected on the way.
Wherever the facilities will take them, yes. Steel springs, foam, wood, and fabric can each be separated and reused, so we route mattresses to recycling first and landfill only what cannot be processed. There is no extra charge for it.
