Furniture Removal
in Glen Ellyn
Heavy, awkward furniture carried out of your Glen Ellyn home, down the stairs and around the tight turns.
Furniture Removal in Glen Ellyn, IL
Old furniture is heavy, bulky, and impossible to fit in a car. When a sofa gives out or the dining set is being replaced, Onit removes the piece so you do not have to wrestle it out yourself.
We take sectionals, sleeper sofas, dressers, bookcases, mattresses, and anything else too big to handle alone. Our crew brings the muscle and the straps to get it down stairs and through doorways without gouging the walls.
A lot of Glen Ellyn's older homes near Lake Ellyn have narrow staircases and tight landings that make furniture a real puzzle. We are used to those turns and take our time protecting the trim and floors on the way out.
Glen Ellyn takes large items on the weekly route only with a sticker on each piece under the weight limit, and appliances have to be scheduled separately. A sectional or a loaded armoire usually loses that contest and stays put. We reach Glen Ellyn near I-355 from our Plainfield base, carry the furniture out of any room, and load it all at once. Pieces worth keeping go to donation, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
What We Handle in Glen Ellyn
Sofas and sectionals
Full couches, sleeper sofas, and heavy sectionals broken down if needed and carried out.
Dining sets
Tables, chairs, hutches, and buffets removed as a set or piece by piece.
Bedroom furniture
Dressers, armoires, headboards, and bed frames taken from any floor of the house.
Office and shelving
Desks, filing cabinets, bookcases, and built in style units hauled away.
Stairs and tight turns
We handle basement and upper floor pieces where the staircase is the real challenge.
Donation of good pieces
Furniture still in usable shape goes to donation rather than straight to the dump.
Built for the heavy, awkward pieces
A single sofa can be more than one person should move, and a sectional or armoire is worse. We bring enough crew and the right straps and dollies to move it safely.
You do not lift a corner. We carry the piece from wherever it sits, out the door, and into the truck while you stay out of the way.
Careful through older Glen Ellyn homes
The winding, tree lined streets around town are full of homes with tight stairwells and original woodwork. Getting a heavy piece out takes patience, not force.
We protect corners, doorways, and floors as we go, and we take the extra minute to angle a piece rather than scrape a wall.

Questions
Pricing is based on how much room the piece or pieces take in the truck, quoted before we start. A single sofa is straightforward, and multiple pieces are bundled into one number. You approve the number before we lift anything.
Yes. We handle furniture on any floor, including basements and third floor bedrooms in Glen Ellyn's older homes. Our crew brings straps and dollies and, when needed, we disassemble a piece to clear a tight stairwell.
When a piece is clean and usable, we route it to a local donation partner instead of the landfill. A lot of the furniture we pull from Glen Ellyn homes still has life left, and we would rather see it reused.
No. Leave it exactly where it is. We come in, whether it is upstairs, in the den, or down in the basement, and carry it out ourselves. Full service means you do not touch it.
We serve all of Glen Ellyn and nearby DuPage towns. Most furniture pickups are booked within a day or two, and same day is often possible for a single piece if you reach us early.
