Our crew takes the whole thing apart, cuts the carpet into rolls, strips the padding off the subfloor, pries the tack strip loose and sweeps the floor clean. Every piece goes out to the trailer with us. We do the removal and the haul, not the new flooring.
Western Springs holds an exclusive residential contract with the town's hauler, and while bulk service is folded into the monthly rate, the program still requires that bulk items and loose material be properly prepared and arranged, not just stacked at the curb. A full carpet tear-out does not fit that neatly. We come in from Plainfield by way of I-55 and I-294 and clear the entire job in one load, cut and carried by us.

Damp basement carpet rolled and carried up the stairs for you.
